A retrofit solar attic fan that mounts behind or under a properly sized passive gable vent, so no roof penetration is needed, powered by a remote solar panel mounted separately on the roof. It has a gable/retrofit-style flashing, zincalume alloy all-metal construction, a 14 in. balanced aluminum blade on a variable-speed DC motor, stainless brackets and hardware, and an included thermal switch and fire safety switch. Sizes match the roof fans: PRO (25 W, up to 1,500 cfm, 2,500 sq. ft.), HP (35 W, up to 1,775 cfm, 2,850 sq. ft.) and MAX (45 W, up to 1,925 cfm, 3,100 sq. ft.). Attic Breeze says it needs no windstorm product approval because it does not penetrate the roof. The warranty is a limited lifetime parts warranty.
