ATA-Guard is ATAS International's mechanically attached, coated woven synthetic roofing underlayment for sloped roofs, asphalt free and gray in color with a nodular walking surface. The spec data sheet describes it as an alternative to Type 15 or Type 30 asphalt felt, with a nominal thickness of 30 mils in rolls 48 in. wide by 250 ft long (1,000 sq. ft.) and UV resistance for up to 6 months. Technical data lists Class A fire to ASTM E108, nail sealability to ASTM D1970, and water transmission to ASTM D4869. It is considered a vapor barrier (0.05 perms) and must be installed above properly ventilated spaces.
