Opening roof hatch skylight, model HL-FF, for roof access from an interior stair or ladder. The curb frame is an aluminum extrusion with a PVC thermal break for 1-1/2 in. (38 mm) curbs, glazed with dual-layer UV- stabilized acrylic lenses, opened by a handle with gas-loaded pistons set for a 70 degree opening (90 degree optional) and locked by spring-loaded security bolts. The maker states it is not designed as a venting skylight. Model HL-CL-FF is the same unit shipped on a prefabricated insulated aluminum curb in 9, 12 or 16 in. heights.
