Silver Film is a single-component, solvent-based aluminum roof coating built on a thermoplastic resin, with no asphalt or fillers and 3.5 pounds of aluminum flake per gallon. It is applied in one coat at 3 to 6 mils dry film thickness and is packaged in 1 and 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums. The data sheet lists an initial solar reflectance of 73% under ASTM E-903 and use over BUR, rubber, steel, aluminum and previously painted surfaces, including pitched or flat roofs with ponded water.
