The Snow Bird is a pad-style snow guard for slate, synthetic shingle and tile roofs with a pad measuring 3 7/16 inches long by 2 15/16 inches high and a strap up to 18 inches long that fastens directly to the roof deck with two fasteners per guard. The Snow Bird-18 specification sheet lists 0.059 inch galvanized cold rolled steel or 304 stainless steel with a copper-plated finish, and an optional 3/8 inch rod or pipe kit that turns the guards into a hybrid pad and rod system, with a break required every 48 feet.
