The PD40 is a pad-style snow guard for new-construction installation on composition (asphalt) shingle roofs and synthetic shake/slate roofs under 3/8" thick, including F-Wave's REVIA XTM shingle line. It has a 6 1/2" strap and riveted "fish head" pad that installs directly to the roof deck above the nail line, and is offered in Aluminum, Copper, Lead-Coated Copper, Freedom Gray and Rheinzink, with Kynar pre-painted finish options. The specification sheet states no printed holding-strength figure; the substrate must be verified to withstand the added retained snow load and layout is engineered per project.
