AF-5500 is a waterborne fluoropolymer roof coating made with Kynar Aquatec resin, used as a thin-film finish coat over Acrymax elastomeric roof coatings and roof systems and over metal, including metal roofs with factory-applied fluoropolymer finishes. Its data sheet recommends it for architectural metal including metal roof and wall panels, primed with Acrymax PC-125 direct-to-metal primer, at 2 to 4 mils dry film. It lists PVDF content greater than 25%, VOC under 200 g/L and 38.9% solids by volume, and comes in white and standard colours.
