CeramaX is a water-based, high-build roof and wall coating of sealed ceramic micro-bubbles in a proprietary acrylic terpolymer emulsion, intended for heat reflection and watertight protection on asphalt, metal, modified bitumen, tile and built-up roofs. Its data sheet lists 100 percent adhesion (ASTM D3359), 200 percent plus elongation and 200 psi tensile strength (ASTM D2370), a pass at 200 hours of accelerated aging (ASTM G53), and VOC of 10.425 g/L. It is applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer under 3000 psi at 100 sq ft per gallon in two to three coats, about 9 dry mils per coat. It comes in white, tintable to light pastel colours on request, in 1 and 5 gallon sizes, with 30 or 50 gallon drums on special request.
