Advantage is a water-based elastomeric waterproof roof coating for tile, Bermuda, shingle and poured concrete roofs and for flat roofs with positive drainage. Its data sheet lists 63 percent solids by weight, 50 percent solids by volume, 700 percent elongation, 300 psi tensile strength and 6 perms (ASTM E96, method BW). Two coats at 100 sq ft per gallon per coat yield 16 dry mils, and two coats at 80 sq ft per gallon yield 20 dry mils. The film stays soft and the maker calls for a paint topcoat such as Supreme Roof or Super Roof Gloss. Sold in 1 and 5 gallon sizes.
