Permit process note
A building permit is required before starting any roofing, re-roofing, siding, or window project; a contractor license is not required. The application is available at City Hall or on the city's website and is submitted to the building inspector by email, with payment online or at City Hall upon approval.
Inspection requirements
Mid-roof inspections are required for all roofs, either onsite by the building inspector or by emailing/texting photos of all roof slopes once the underlayment is installed. Final roof inspections are performed in person by the building inspector once the roof is completed.
