Permit process note
Title 15 of the Municipal Code states the Town has adopted codes "for the purpose of providing minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property, and public welfare by regulating use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings ... regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings or structures, and building service equipment); providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore." No roofing-specific permit language was found within Title 15 (searched for "roof" across all 38 pages of the posted PDF with no matches), so this note captures the general building-permit requirement rather than a roofing-specific boolean.
Adopted code
"There is hereby adopted by the Town of Yampa, Colorado ... to conform to the International Uniform Building Code (2003 Edition including Appendix Chapter C and J); International Residential Code (2003 Edition including Appendix Chapter E); International Existing Building Code (2003 Edition); Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings (1997 Editions); National Electrical Code, Administrative Provisions (2003 Edition); International Uniform Mechanical Code (2003 Edition); International Plumbing Code (2003 Edition including Appendix Chapters B, D, E, F, G); International Fuel Gas Code (2003 Edition." Section 15.01.03 states these codes were "amended and restated" from an earlier Ordinance No. 01-02; the posted Title 15 text itself does not show a later re-adoption to a newer ICC edition, so the 2003-edition codes are recorded as stated in the Town's own posted document.
