Permit process note
It is the taxpayer's responsibility to obtain a building permit for all new and remodeled property within the county; per Sedgwick County Ordinances, no building shall be erected, occupied, moved or structurally altered until a permit has been issued by the Planning and Zoning Department. Property within the town limits of Julesburg, Ovid or Sedgwick is governed by the respective town's rules instead.
