Permit process note
The Building Department issues all building permits and conducts inspections for construction and new businesses within both the Town of Silverton and San Juan County. Building permit application forms and fee schedules are available through the Town of Silverton website. A single Building Inspector / Code Enforcement Officer serves both jurisdictions (direct line 970-880-0387).

The Town of Silverton and San Juan County have adopted the 2015 versions of the International Code Council codes (IBC/IRC).
