Permit process note
The Building in Rico page states: "Building permits are required for all construction within the Town of Rico." Related permits may also apply: excavation permits are required for "utility installations and repairs," "road and driveway construction and repair," and excavation "disturbing more than three cubic yards of dirt that is not associated with an existing building permit." Septic (Individual Sewage Disposal System) permits are required under "Town of Rico Ordinance 2017-01, which incorporates Colorado Department of Health and Environment Regulation 43," and ISDS plans "must be signed and stamped by an engineer licensed in the State of Colorado."
