Permit process note
"As a measure to ensure the safety of your home, a roof permit is required on all re-roof projects." The city provides a final roof inspection as part of the roof permit, or the applicant may waive that inspection by certifying that their roofing contractor completed it.
Inspection requirements
The final roof inspection consists of an attic inspection to verify vent piping through the roof, confirmation that rafters are in position, and confirmation that water heater and furnace exhaust vents have been reinstalled properly.
