Permit process note
The Town's Building and Zoning page states: "Building permits must reviewed by two members of the Zoning Board of adjustments and signed and approved by the building inspector prior to construction. Complete permit applications with fee may be submitted to the Town Clerk or Building Inspector." It also states: "All inspections associated with new construction and/or repairs must be completed by the Building Inspector," and "Well permits are required within Town limits." The Town's "Building Permit and Application" form (Permit Application / Building Permit / Fee Schedule) lists Electrical, Septic, and Plumbing/Heating as the "Other Permits Required" categories and requires applicants to certify they will "comply with all provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Pitkin, Colorado."
