The Town's Muni-Code page states the code was adopted on first reading July 9, 2024, second reading and adoption August 13, 2024, and "took full affect September 14th, 2024," and that the town "will try and post popular sections on the website like dog registrations, nuisances, fence permits etc." The code itself, Sec. 15.02.010 ("Building code adopted"), states: "the 'International Building Code' 2006 edition, including the International Building Code Appendices... is adopted by reference as the building code for the Town of Olney Springs," and that its subject matter "includes comprehensive provisions and standards regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of all buildings and structures... and further provides for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore." No roofing-specific permit language and no contractor-license/registration requirement were found in the Muni-Code, so roofing_permit_required and contractor_registration_required are not asserted here. The Town's ordinance page notes the code "IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVISION" as of 2026 and may change.

Municipal Code Sec. 15.02.010(A): "Pursuant to Title 31, Article 16, Part 2 of the Colorado Revised Statutes the 'International Building Code' 2006 edition, including the International Building Code Appendices... is adopted by reference as the building code for the Town of Olney Springs." Sec. 15.02.020 separately adopts the "International Property Maintenance Code" 2012 edition. Three copies of each are kept on file with the town clerk.
