Permit process note
The Town of Olathe Building Department, led by Building Official Scott Eklund, issues permits and performs a defined sequence of inspections for building work: framing, insulation, fencing, drywall, lath, sheathing, wall, roof, and a final inspection prior to issuing a Certificate of Occupancy. Building Regulations are codified in Title III of the Town of Olathe Municipal Code.
