Registration details
  • license: A Town of Lyons Contractor License is required to pull a building permit; the license fee is $50 unless the contractor holds a state plumbing or electrician license. Applications are processed through Community Core.

Adopted code
The Town of Lyons is on the 2021 International Code Council series of building codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code; the Town has adopted the 2024 ICC series, effective July 1, 2026. The Town has also adopted the State of Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code, effective July 1, 2026, applicable to permits applied for on or after that date.
