The license fee is $35, plus $35 per Master's Certification. Roofing contractors are classified under a dedicated category rather than the Class A-D general/residential classes: "Contractors performing roofing, painting, insulation, guttering, door/window replacement, lawn irrigation, and other similar work should be licensed as 'Contractor Other.'" Required documentation includes zoning approval, a business license application, a State of Missouri No Tax Due Certificate, a Certificate of Liability Insurance (minimum $300,000), and a Certificate of Worker's Compensation Insurance.

The city states it is in the process of adopting the 2024 Codes, tentatively effective by mid-summer 2026.
