Town of Lake City - Building Permits (Hinsdale County Building Department)
Adopted codeThe building permit authority covering the Town of Lake City, the county seat and only incorporated municipality in Hinsdale County. Building permits for construction inside Lake City town limits are processed by the Hinsdale County Building Department under the same application process used countywide, though permit fees are paid to the Town of Lake City while use tax is paid to the County. The Town's own "Permits & Applications" page lists only non-building forms (business license, short-term rental, sign, special events, encroachment, Certificate of Appropriateness), confirming building permitting itself runs through the County.
