Registration details
  • license: All contractors conducting work in the Town of Frisco are required to hold a current Town of Frisco Business License; the Town does not separately license roofing contractors by trade.
Permit process note
Re-roofing is processed as a Rapid Review Joint Submittal through the Town's CommunityCore online portal; once a complete application is submitted and fees are paid, the Town aims to turn the permit around within approximately 3 business days (72 business hours). Electrical permits within Frisco are issued by the Summit County Building Department rather than the Town.
Inspection requirements
Inspections are requested online through CommunityCore; the permit and inspection card generated under CommunityCore's Documents tab must be posted at the construction site for the inspector to access.
Adopted code
The 2018 International Building Code and 2018 International Residential Code (with appendix chapters) are adopted by reference in municipal code section 65-1, Standards Adopted by Reference, most recently amended by Ordinance No. 26-09.
