Permit process note
Roofing permits are required for most reroofing work in Fort Lupton; repair or replacement of less than one square (100 square feet) of shingles does not require a permit. Three-tab shingles are no longer accepted, and ice and water shield barriers and drip edge are required. Permit cards must be posted on site throughout the project, and a secured ladder must be provided for inspector access; failure to provide one may result in a failed inspection.
