The building permit authority for unincorporated Eagle County, Colorado. A separate roof permit is required for roof repairs and replacements, which must use Class A fire rated materials for the assembly. Eagle County does not mandate contractor licensing for work in unincorporated areas, and enforces the 2021 I-Codes and 2023 NEC under the Eagle County Building Resolution.

Permit process note

Inspection requirements
Inspections are available Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm (El Jebel inspections on Monday and Thursday). Requests must be scheduled before 4pm the day prior, and inspectors provide a 1-hour arrival window.
