Adopted codeDelta County, Colorado has adopted a Land Use Code but has not adopted building codes in the unincorporated areas of the county. Generally, no building permits are required and no certificates of occupancy are issued for construction in unincorporated Delta County, with the exception of the Highway 92 and Highway 50 Overlay Districts, where development requires a building permit. Roofing work in the unincorporated county is therefore not subject to a county reroof permit outside those overlay districts, though development must still comply with Land Use Code standards.

Building permits are generally not required in the unincorporated areas of Delta County, which has not adopted building codes; development must instead comply with standards in the Delta County Land Use Code.
