Permitting Authorities / City of Creede - Town Hall

City of Creede - Town Hall

city

The permitting authority for the City of Creede, the county seat of and only incorporated municipality in Mineral County. Creede is legally organized and self-identifies as a "City" rather than a statutory town. Building permitting is governed by Chapter 18 (Building Regulations) of the City's Municipal Code, hosted on American Legal's official code library; day-to-day permit administration falls to the City Manager's office. The City's own website (cityofcreede.gov) publishes a downloadable "Building Permits" document summarizing the requirement but does not itself host a dedicated building-department page or fee schedule.

Permit process note
Chapter 18 (Building Regulations) of the Municipal Code of the City of Creede, Colorado states: "Building permits are required for all new construction, additions, remodels and alterations of existing buildings, excavations and the demolition of existing buildings." The City's own Documents page (cityofcreede.gov/documents) separately lists a downloadable "Building Permits" form reiterating that permits cover new construction, additions, remodels/alterations, excavation, and demolition. Neither source names roofing or re-roofing specifically, nor states a contractor-registration requirement, so those fields are omitted pending direct confirmation from the City Manager's office. No adopted building code edition (e.g. a specific IBC/IRC year) was found stated on either source.
