  • license: If a contractor is hired for any roofing work, the contractor must hold a valid City or County license. Unlicensed contractors cannot perform permit-required work on commercial properties or certain residential work categories.
Permit process note
Roofing permits are required in Craig. Homeowners may pull permits for work on their primary residence if performing the labor themselves, and landlords may pull roofing permits for rental properties they own provided they personally perform the work; otherwise a licensed contractor is required. Permits are obtained from the regional building department at Craig City Hall, 300 W 4th Street.
