Section 15.04.010, enacted by Ordinance 123 in 1963, adopts the Uniform Building Code, Short Form, 1961 Edition, as the Town's building code, and the chapter's complete amendment list consists of Section 15.04.020, a permit-fee table amended by Ordinance 172 in 1984, Section 15.04.030, a yard and setback amendment to Section 504(a), and Section 15.04.040, which declares the whole Town a fire district and defines its fire zones under Section 1601(a); Sections 15.04.050 and 15.04.060 are scope and penalty provisions. No later building-code edition is adopted anywhere in the codified Municipal Code, so the 1961 Short Form code as amended remains the Town's adopted code. None of the amendments addresses roof coverings, roof assemblies or materials testing, and neither the adopted code nor any Town amendment requires impact-resistant roof coverings or names a UL 2218 or Class 4 standard. The only statewide instrument reaching reroofing is the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code, 8 CCR 1507-39, effective July 1, 2026 in areas designated wildland-urban interface under that code, which requires a Class A roof covering tested to ASTM E108 or UL 790 where 25 percent or more of the roof surface is replaced, at Sections 101.6 and 403.2; that is a fire classification independent of impact rating, and the code sets no impact-resistance requirement.
