Registration details
- license: The Building Inspection Submittal Requirements page's Contractor Registration section states: "Register through the CityServe Portal. A copy of a government-issued photo ID or Driver License is required," with a copy of the state license required for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Irrigation, and Fire Alarm/Fire Sprinkler contractors and a Certificate of Insurance for Paving and Utility contractors. "Contractor registration is renewable annually. Contractor registration is free." The Front Counter Services page adds that an expired contractor registration prevents further inspections from being requested, even if that contractor's work is complete.
Permit process note
Per the city's FAQ and Re-Roofing page: "Roofing permits are required only when structural members supporting the roofing system are being replaced, such as the roof deck or sheathing. Replacement of the roofing system, such as shingles, shakes, tiles, metal panels, underlayment, membranes, cover boards, and insulation does not require a permit." Replacement roof decking may match the thickness of the existing decking regardless of the amount of decking replaced. Roofing permit applications are submitted through the CityServe Portal along with the permit fee.
Inspection requirements
The Re-Roofing page states "An inspection should be scheduled upon completion of work," with applications and fees handled through the CityServe portal.
