Permit process note
The Building Permits page states: "All building permits for the Town of Brookside are issued only by the Town of Brookside. Do NOT purchase building permits from Fremont County." It further states: "You or your contractor must contact the Building Inspector, Randy Babb, to obtain a permit for: New construction, Remodeling work, Major repairs, Roofing work, Structural changes to existing buildings, including siding, porches, roofs, solar panels, and windows." Building Inspector: Randy Babb, (719) 280-3714; permit applications are emailed to the Town Clerk at [email protected]. The page also notes: "The Town's Building Inspector cannot approve or sign off on work without documentation of septic, electrical, and plumbing inspections." Septic permits come from the Fremont County Health Department; electrical and plumbing permits are issued by the State of Colorado out of the Fremont County Administration Building.
