Permit process note
A roofing permit costs $150 per building (e.g., $200 to re-roof both a house and a detached garage). Re-roof permits may be issued same day, though some applications can take up to 24 hours to review. Building permit valuation is calculated using ICC Building Valuation Data from February of the prior calendar year and Appendix L of the IRC. Applications may be submitted online via the county's Citizen Portal (Cloudpermit).
Inspection requirements
Inspections require a minimum 24-hour notice and may be scheduled by phone or through the online portal. Plan review timelines are a minimum of 7 business days for residential, 14 business days for commercial, and 72 hours for OWTS applications.
