Permit process note
The Building Department performs plan reviews, issues permits, and conducts inspections for life-safety, fire, structural, and energy code compliance. A dedicated Roofing Permit Application form is provided for reroofing projects, and a Building Permit Fee Calculator plus a published fee schedule are available on the department's site.
Inspection requirements
Inspections must be scheduled at least one business day in advance and are performed between 10am and 4pm. Electrical and plumbing inspections are not completed by the Building Department; those are handled by the State of Colorado.
