A Sutherland family cedar shake and shingle maker in British Columbia, owned and operated by the family for four generations since it entered the shake and shingle business in 1927. Riverside Mills mills timber salvaged from British Columbia forests and coastal waters, such as storm windfall, wood left behind by commercial harvesting and logs broken in transport, into tapersawn shakes and perfection shingles in Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar, and sells them to customers in the United States and Canada.
